Questions, answered.
Before you pick a look, here are clear answers to what people ask most — staying power, comfort, and a finish that still looks like you. What is mythnote preparing?+
Our first collection is taking shape around three looks: Soft Natural, Airy Wispy and Soft Cat-Eye — light enough to apply at home, made to look like your lashes, but better. Ordering is not open yet.
Will they look fake or too thick?+
We design for a soft, natural finish — think light fibers and a slim band that sits close to your lash line, not a heavy costume look. Soft Natural stays closest to your own lashes; Airy Wispy adds airy tips; Soft Cat-Eye gently lengthens the outer corner. Always compare real worn photos before you choose.
What if they won't stick or keep falling off?+
Most hold issues come from oily lids, too much or too little adhesive, or placing the band before it turns tacky. Start with clean, dry lids; use only lash adhesive in a thin coat; wait until it feels tacky; then press along the full band. Each product page will spell out the adhesive that matches that style. If something still will not hold, stop and write to us with the product name.
Can I sleep with them on?+
We do not recommend sleeping in false lashes. Overnight friction can loosen the band, tug your natural lashes and leave residue on skin and pillow. Remove them gently before bed with a suitable remover, then let your lids rest.
Will they pull out my natural lashes?+
Used as directed, false lashes should not yank out your natural ones. Damage usually comes from peeling against resistance or using the wrong remover. Always soften the adhesive fully, then slide the band off from the outer corner. Never rip. If you feel sharp tugging, stop and add more remover.
Can they irritate my eyes?+
Eye-area products can bother sensitive lids. Do a small patch test before first wear. Use only lash adhesive — never nail glue or super glue near your eyes. If you feel burning, redness or watering, remove the lashes right away and rinse with clean water; if it persists, see a healthcare provider. Full ingredient lists will appear on each product page before launch.
I have sensitive eyes—can I use cluster bond? Should I patch-test?+
Yes—patch-test first. Apply a tiny amount of bond on an inner-arm or behind-the-ear spot and wait 24–48 hours. “Hypoallergenic” is not a guarantee of zero reaction. If you get sting, redness, or swelling on the eye, stop, remove gently with remover, and skip wear until you’re comfortable. Cluster bond is still a cosmetic adhesive—not medical advice. See also our lash guide on bond vs glue and safe remove.
What if they feel uncomfortable on day one—or I want to take them off early?+
A little awareness on the first wear is common with any false lashes: you may notice the band, the adhesive, or the extra length until your lids get used to the feel. That is different from pain, burning, or sharp irritation. Try this first: (1) Confirm the band is fully seated and not poking the inner corner or waterline. (2) Use only a thin coat of lash adhesive; wait until it is tacky before placing. (3) If something feels scratchy, remove gently with a suitable remover—do not rip—and rest your lids. (4) Stop right away if you feel burning, redness, or watering; rinse with clean water and, if it continues, see a healthcare provider. mythnote designs for a soft, light wear—but comfort still depends on fit, adhesive, and your skin. There is no single "must tough it out" rule: if day-one wear feels wrong, take the lashes off and write to us with the style name when products are available. Until launch, explore the guide and FAQ at your own pace—no need to push through discomfort.
How long do DIY lash clusters last? Can I reuse them?+
Wear time depends on your bond, skin oils, and how gently you treat the lash line. Many people wear a map for a day and remove at night; multi-day wear is a personal choice—if edges lift or eyes feel irritated, take them off. Overnight wear isn’t required for a good look (see also our sleep FAQ). After you remove them, leftover bond usually means they won’t stick cleanly again. Don’t force reuse if the band is gummy or misshapen—fresh application is safer and looks better. (Same idea if you searched “how long will lash clusters last?”—timing varies; we do not publish a fixed hour claim before wear tests.)
How do I choose the right pair for me?+
Start with the finish you want: Soft Natural for everyday softness, Airy Wispy for light, floated tips, Soft Cat-Eye for a lifted outer corner. Then check real worn photos, band thickness and adhesive notes. Many people choose at-home clusters or strips because salon fills are costly and time-heavy — our guide helps you compare light, natural options at your own pace.
How will delivery work?+
For the United States and South Korea, rates and timing are published on Shipping & Returns. Other countries will be listed before we accept orders there.
How long will delivery take?+
Timing depends on the destination and carrier. US and Korea estimates are published above. Spain (local warehouse fulfillment) timing will be published before orders open—we do not invent exact delivery days here.
Are duties and taxes included?+
That varies by country. Before launch we'll show, for each destination, whether duties and taxes are included — so there are no surprises at the door.
Can eye-area products be returned?+
Eligibility depends on product condition, hygiene rules and local law. We'll publish a clear returns policy before launch. If you have questions, email us anytime.
Which languages is the site in?+
Browse in English, Korean, Spanish or Simplified Chinese, and switch anytime from the language menu.
How do I choose false lashes for my eye shape?+
As a gentle starting point: hooded or monolid eyes often prefer shorter, lighter lashes; round eyes can look more elongated with longer outer corners; almond eyes suit most styles. Band thickness and length change the feel too — compare them in our Lash Guide.
What is the difference between strip lashes, cluster lashes and half lashes?+
Strip lashes cover the full lash line in one piece. Cluster lashes are small segments you place along your natural lashes for a customizable, often lighter finish. Half lashes add length mainly at the outer corner. Our first collection builds soft, everyday finishes on these formats.
How do I apply lashes at home?+
For strips: measure and trim the band, apply a thin coat of lash adhesive, wait until tacky, then place from the center outward and press the corners. For clusters: place small segments along your natural lashes, keeping the look light. Always follow the card that comes with your pair. Our how-to pages walk through each step slowly.
How do I remove them safely?+
Soften the adhesive with a suitable lash or makeup remover, then peel gently from the outer corner. Never pull against resistance — that is what risks your natural lashes. Take your time; a slow remove is a kind remove.
Can I order now?+
Not yet. Soft Natural, Airy Wispy and Soft Cat-Eye are still being finished with care. Leave your email if you'd like to be first to know when they open.
Can you shower or swim with lash clusters?+
Wait until your lash bond is fully dry before any water. In the shower, keep water pressure gentle and pat dry—don’t rub the lash line. Steam and hot water can loosen the bond faster, so treat showering as careful, not “set and forget.” Swimming and heavy water play are riskier: water, chlorine, and rubbing can lift the bond early. mythnote doesn’t promise “never falls off” waterproof wear—if you swim, expect a shorter wear window and remove gently afterward if edges lift.
Can I work out or travel in DIY cluster lashes?+
Sweat and salt often loosen a map faster than plain water. Let the bond fully set before the gym or a long day out; blot sweat—don’t rub; keep oily creams off the lash line. For flights and hotels, pack remover so you can slide pieces off cleanly if edges lift. See also our shower/swim FAQ for water tips—this one is about sweat and on-the-go wear.
Are lash clusters better for your lashes?+
“Better” depends on what you compare. DIY cluster false lashes sit on (or under) your natural lashes and come off when you remove them—so you control rest days. That is not the same as a salon extension service, and it is not a medical claim that clusters strengthen or “heal” lashes. If anything stings, lifts unevenly, or your lids feel sore, take them off with remover and pause wear. Educational only—await brand wear tests before stronger claims. For wear time and reuse, see our how-long FAQ.
What are the downsides of using lash clusters?+
Common trade-offs people mention: bond can loosen with oil, sweat, or rubbing; a rushed map can look patchy; dry-pulling damages natural lashes; leftover adhesive makes reuse messy. Start with fewer, shorter pieces (Soft Natural / Airy Wispy lane), patch-test bond if you have sensitive eyes, and always slide off with remover—never yank dry. Not a product scorecard; individual results vary.
What are the best eyelash clusters to use?+
There is no single “best” for every eye. For a first map, choose a light, natural-to-wispy density and shorter lengths so placement is forgiving—then build only if you want more drama (Soft Cat-Eye’s soft outer lift is an education path, not a ranking). mythnote’s Soft Natural / Airy Wispy / Soft Cat-Eye are style ideas for that lane; final SKU picks wait until the collection is live. No “#1 product” language.
What is lash bond and seal? Do I need a sealer / top coat?+
Bond is the adhesive that holds clusters. Seal (sometimes called a sealer or top coat) is an optional last step some DIY routines use to lock edges and help with water—people often compare it to a nail top coat. Check your kit: if your mythnote kit includes seal, use it after the map is set; if it doesn’t, bond alone is still a complete everyday path—don’t assume every “bond & seal” retail kit matches ours. We don’t promise clusters “won’t lift for a week.” See also bond vs glue in the lash guide and our how-long / reuse FAQ. Wear time varies by skin oils, map density, and how gently you remove—some DIY routines talk about about a week with careful bond+seal care; mythnote does not promise a fixed day count until our own wear tests are confirmed. If edges lift early, remove safely and restart clean rather than stacking glue.
How should I sleep with DIY cluster lashes on?+
We still don’t recommend overnight wear as a habit (see our separate sleep FAQ). If you keep them on overnight, try to avoid pressing your face hard into the pillow—side or back sleep with less cheek drag is kinder than stomach sleep that rubs the lash line. This answer is about sleep posture and friction, not “how many days can I wear them”—link that duration FAQ separately. If edges feel rough in the morning, remove gently rather than yanking.
How do I clean lash clusters so I can reuse them?+
After removal, soften leftover bond with the remover / oil method your kit allows, gently lift residue from the band/base (don’t shred the fibers), then air-dry before storing on a tray. Reuse varies with care and product— we do not publish a fixed reuse count before it is verified. Same honest tone as wear time: clean, dry, then decide if the piece still looks wearable. See also how long DIY clusters last / reuse.
Will they fall off during the day?+
Daytime lift usually means oily lids, bond not tacky yet, or pieces sitting too high—not a magic “stronger glue” promise. Clean oil-free lids, thin bond, wait until tacky, seat close to the root. If edges lift, soften with remover and re-place or remove fully. See bond & seal and how-long FAQ.
Can I sleep in them?+
We don’t treat overnight wear as the default. If you keep them on, reduce pillow friction (back/side kinder than stomach). This is about posture, not a sleep-proof claim—see the sleep-posture FAQ. Prefer removing at night when you can.
Can they damage my natural lashes?+
Most damage comes from heavy maps, dry peeling, or wearing through irritation—not from “clusters” as a category. Stay in the light Soft Natural / Airy Wispy lane at first; always slide off with remover; take rest days if lids feel sore. Not a medical “never damage” claim.
What if my eyes feel irritated?+
Stop and remove. Stinging, itching, redness, or blurred vision → remove immediately, rinse if needed, rest the eye area, and pause wear. Patch-test bond if you’re sensitive. See sensitive-eyes FAQ.
I’m a beginner — which look first?+
Start with Soft Natural or Airy Wispy (short, light map). Soft Cat-Eye is a soft outer lift—not a sharp wing—once placement feels easy. See the beginners guide section.
How do I store lash clusters between wears?+
After you clean them, let them air-dry completely, then put each piece back on the original tray / divided case, flat—don’t stack, in a cool, dry place away from direct sun. Storage starts at gentle removal. This FAQ is only about tray / flat / dry / dark—see how to clean for reuse and safe removal separately. We don’t invent a reuse count; reuse varies with care and product.
Can I wear mascara with DIY cluster lashes?+
If you need a touch-up, keep it very light at the roots and barely on the fiber tips. Thick waterproof mascara is harder to remove and can wreck reuse—we don’t encourage heavy waterproof coats on clusters. See safe removal and how to clean for reuse. Education only; no mascara brand names; no price or Buy.
Is Soft Cat-Eye right for my eye shape—or should I start Soft Natural?+
Soft Cat-Eye is a soft outer pull (inner short → outer third a little longer)—not a sharp costume wing. It often flatters almond and some round eyes that want horizontal elongation. It can feel “wrong” if: your lid is hooded and the outer third gets buried or heavy; your eye already droops at the outer corner and more outer length makes that louder; you wanted a center-open / doll look (that’s closer to Soft Natural’s even or center-lifted map). Quick pick: unsure → Soft Natural or Airy Wispy first; when placement feels easy and you want a gentle wing → Soft Cat-Eye. See Lash Guide: almond / round / hooded / open-eye / squirrel map. Education only—no price, no Buy.
Are mythnote lashes mink—or faux / vegan?+
mythnote designs false lashes in a faux / vegan lane—synthetic fibers, not animal fur. Public beauty talk still uses “mink” as a look word (soft, tapered tips), which is why search results mix aesthetic language with real-fur debates. We don’t sell real mink fur, and we don’t name other brands’ labels. Judge by fiber feel and side-view, not by the word “mink” alone. Explore Soft Natural, Airy Wispy, and Soft Cat-Eye in the guide while the shop prepares to open.
What’s the difference between DIY cluster lashes and salon lash extensions?+
Cluster lashes are false lashes you place at home (often underlash), remove when the day ends, and rest as you like. Salon extensions are a professional service—individual or volume fans bonded by a tech, with scheduled fills. They are different tools for different days—not the same product category, and not a medical claim that clusters “heal” or replace extensions. mythnote stays in the at-home false-lash lane: Soft Natural, Airy Wispy, Soft Cat-Eye. See also guide: Cluster lashes ≠ salon lash extensions + format-compare.
My natural lashes feel sparse after heavy extensions—can I wear clusters?+
Give lids and natural lashes rest days after any heavy or salon wear. When you return, start light and short: Soft Natural or Airy Wispy, fewer pieces, gentle removal every time. Clusters are still false lashes—they don’t medically repair sparse lashes. If lids sting or feel sore, stop and pause wear. Educational only; await brand wear tests before stronger claims. Link safe removal + beginners apply in the Lash Guide.
Do you have brown / softer fall lashes?+
Looking for a brown / softer fall vibe? Our first line is black-forward; brown / warmer tones—if we open them—will be shared on the waitlist. No other brands’ brown products or images.
Magnetic lashes vs DIY cluster lashes—what's the difference?+
Magnetic lashes are a day-on / day-off path that relies on magnets or magnetic liner. DIY cluster lashes are false lashes you place at home with bond (and often seal)—that's the lane mythnote is preparing: Soft Natural, Airy Wispy, and Soft Cat-Eye. Different tools for different mornings—not the same product, and not a salon extension service. mythnote does not sell magnetic lashes and does not name other brands. See also guide format-compare and FAQ: cluster lashes ≠ salon extensions. Education only—no price, no Buy.
Can I wear contact lenses with DIY cluster lashes?+
Many people do. Wash and dry hands → put contacts in first → then place clusters. When removing, take contacts out before using remover on the lashes. Keep bond, seal, and tweezers away from the eyeball and the lens surface. If you feel sting, redness, or blur, stop, remove contacts, rest—and seek care if it continues. If you wear glasses, prefer shorter Soft Natural or Airy Wispy maps so lenses don't brush fibers. Educational only—not medical advice. No price, no Buy. Wearing glasses? → #mythnote-faq-glasses.
Can I sleep in DIY cluster lashes? Do they fall out overnight?+
Most people remove clusters before sleep—overnight wear raises the chance they migrate, snag on the pillow, or leave a sparse “bald” look by morning. If a piece loosens while you sleep, don’t push it back toward the eye; remove residue with your usual remover when you’re awake and ready. A lighter Soft Natural map (or starting with a half / soft strip look while you learn) often sheds less drama than a full heavy set. Education only—not a sleep-safety claim. See also our sleep FAQs above—this overnight note is separate. No price, no Buy.
Where do I place cluster lashes vs strip lashes?+
Clusters (piece / segment false lashes) are usually placed along the natural lash line—often underlash, piece by piece. Strip lashes typically sit as one band along the upper lash line. Don’t place either on the waterline or eyeball. Start with a light Soft Natural map. Educational only. No price, no Buy.
I want to leave salon extensions—what’s a light at-home option?+
Many people leave the salon for comfort or upkeep. Light DIY false lashes (Soft Natural / Airy Wispy) are an everyday at-home path—they don’t replace medical advice or promise the same look as a salon set. See also after-extensions and cluster ≠ extensions FAQs. No price, no Buy.
What if bond & seal feels irritating or won’t hold?+
Stop if you get sting, itch, or swelling—remove clusters with remover and rest. Some skin is sensitive to lash adhesives; patch-test on the inner arm when you can, use a thin bond layer, and avoid the waterline and eyeball. If hold fails, check oil residue, amount of bond, and whether seal was used as directed—before assuming the format is wrong. Prefer a lighter Soft Natural map while you learn. See also bond & seal FAQ above. mythnote does not name other brands’ glues. Not medical advice. No price, no Buy.
Can I wear DIY cluster lashes with glasses?+
Yes—choose a shorter, lighter map (Soft Natural or Airy Wispy) so fibers don’t brush the lenses. After placing clusters, put your glasses on and try blinking and looking sideways before you seal the day. Don’t shove clusters onto the waterline just to clear the frames. If a piece keeps hitting the lens, remove that piece and go shorter. See also contacts FAQ (#mythnote-faq-contacts) for lens order. Education only—no price, no Buy.
Why won’t my false lashes stick? (short checklist)+
Use little bond, wait until tacky, and start at the outer third—never on the waterline. If adhesive touches the eye, stop, rinse with clean water, and rest; seek care if it keeps burning. See the EN apply-fails guide section (#mythnote-apply-fails) for the same checklist. Education only—no price, no Buy.
